This 980nm 30mW infrared (IR) laser module is a compact adjustable-focus laser diode module available with Dot, Line or Cross beam patterns. It is suitable for industrial positioning, alignment, optical testing, sensing, laboratory equipment and electronic projects.
The laser module operates on 3–5V DC and comes with a compatible AC/DC wall-plug power adapter for convenient continuous operation.
Choose from 12 × 35mm or 12 × 45mm module sizes, Dot / Line / Cross beam patterns, and US / EU / UK / AU adapter plug types.
This version is designed for continuous operation without TTL modulation.

Beam Pattern Options
Choose the beam pattern that best suits your application:
Dot
Produces a concentrated laser spot. Suitable for positioning, targeting, sensing and optical testing.
Line
Projects a laser line for alignment, positioning, scanning and machine-vision applications.
Cross
Projects intersecting horizontal and vertical laser lines to form a cross pattern, suitable for alignment, positioning and reference applications.
Adjustable Focus
The laser focus can be adjusted according to the required working distance and application.
For the Dot version, adjustment allows the laser spot to be focused at the desired distance.
For the Line and Cross versions, adjustment can help optimize the projected pattern at the required working distance.
980nm Infrared Laser
980nm is an infrared wavelength and is not normally visible to the human eye. Do not determine whether the laser is operating by looking directly at the aperture.
A suitable 980nm infrared detection card, IR viewing device, or compatible camera/sensor can be used to detect the laser output.
When using certain 980nm IR detection cards, the infrared beam may appear as a green pattern on the detection card.

980nm infrared laser radiation is invisible to the human eye. Never look directly into the laser aperture or beam, even when no visible light can be seen.
