Product Features:

VU meter is currently the most widely used volume meter, which uses the effective value of the average detector to determine the scale and can only indicate the quasi average value of the signal. However, the human ear feels the loudness of the sound closer to a U meter, so many people like to install VU meters on power amplifiers. The VU meter head has better performance, with rapid pointer oscillation and sensitive response. It also has a wide range voltage regulator circuit, making its working performance more stable.

Wiring instructions:

1. AC/DC12-16V power supply should distinguish between AC and DC input terminals. L. G, R: This is a dual channel input terminal for the driver board, which can receive audio signals from audio devices such as mobile phones, computer sound cards, and front-end speakers (signals that can be heard by headphones), as well as power amplifier output terminals. When wiring, L, G, and R correspond to the left, ground, and right channels of the audio device. If the input is a mobile phone, computer sound card, front-end speaker, or other audio source, turn the dip switch 1 and 3 to the "ON" terminal. 1. AC/DC12-16V power supply, distinguish between AC and DC input terminals.

、  G 、 This is the dual channel input terminal of the driver board, which can be connected to audio devices such as mobile phones, computer sound cards, and front-end audio (signals that can be heard by headphones), as well as the output terminal of the power amplifier for receiving signals. When wiring, L, G, and R correspond to the left, ground, and right channels of the audio device. If the input is a mobile phone, computer sound card, front-end audio, etc., please turn dial switches 1 and 3 to the "ON" terminal. If the input is a power amplifier output terminal for receiving signals, please turn dial switches 2 and 4 to the "ON" terminal, and the signal will be compressed by 11 times. Note: The dip switch cannot simultaneously turn on all 1 to 4 switches.

3. The adjustable potentiometer "100R-V" is used to adjust the brightness of the VU meter backlight.

4. Adjustable potentiometers "50k-1" and "50k-2" respectively control the pointer jumping amplitude of VU meter 1 and VU meter 2


Commissioning method

Level meter, previously mainly used for monitoring sound volume during tape recording, has two standards: ODB=0.775 and ODBV -1V, to prevent tooth time overload and distortion first.

1. Level meter debugging, find a signal generator, adjust the output frequency to 1KHz, the effective value of the signal to 0.775V, connect the driver board signal input, and point the pointer to the instrument panel ODB.

2. Debugging of VU meter: Adjusting the VU meter is much simpler. Connect the audio signal to the driver board, adjust the adjustable resistor on the driver board to synchronize the loudness and rhythm of the ear sound with the pointer, and make the pointer swing moderately. When the maximum sound is reached, the pointer points to the 100% position of the label or the maximum value of the label scale.
